Programme of the Competition

2012 Grand Prix Winner Rūta Mažolytė (Lithuania)

The Competition for "A" and "B" Groups will take place in 2 rounds;
the Competition for "C" Group in 3 Rounds (the final Round with orchestral accompaniment).

In Round 1 the competitors must perform at least one Baroque and/or Classical work,
in Round 2 at least one Balys Dvarionas composition should be played.
The choice of music for the rest of the programme is entirely at the discretion of the competitor within the time allowed for each age group.

The performances of each Round 1 and Round 2 must have the following durations:
Group "A" - from 10 to 20 minutes;
Group "B" - from 15 to 25 minutes;
Group "C" - from 20 to 30 minutes.


The Jury reserves the right to interrupt performances which exceed these specified time limits.

Time limits must be strictly adhered to, and no piece may be performed more than once.

In Round 1 and Round 2 pianists must perform solo piano works only, violinists solo or with piano accompaniment.

All works must be performed from memory.
