Awards and Prizes
Pianists
The jury of the International Stasys Vainiūnas Piano and Chamber Ensembles Competition will award six prizes to pianists: three prizes to laureates, and three prizes to diploma holders.
First prize: 3 000 Eur
Second prize: 2 000 Eur
Third prize: 1 000 Eur
Three diploma holders: 400 Eur each
Additional prizes:

Special Prize from The Vilnius City Municipality St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra
Favourite of the Audience
Special Prize from Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis Memorial Museum in Druskininkai
The Jury has the right not to award certain prizes or to divide the prize money among several participants. The decision of the Jury is beyond appeal.
Chamber ensembles

Stasys Vainiūnas
Stasys Vainiūnas is famous for his work both as pianist and composer. He is numbered among Lithuanian composers belonging to Balys Dvarionas‘ and Antanas Račiūnas‘ generation, which composed their major works in the period of sweeping historical change and dramatic events.
